Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two years of event planning, customer service, or related experience
  • ability to work evening and weekend hours
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • knowledge of A/V systems operation and troubleshooting
  • experience with Tripleseat events CRM
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • commitment to museum values and DEIA framework
  • ability to manage multiple projects
  • willingness to travel locally up to 5 percent
  • ability to respond to safety and security issues
  • valid CPR and First Aid training preferred
  • ability to handle interruptions and high workload periods
  • physical ability to stand, stoop, and walk for extended periods

  • ability to present information effectively
  • ability to analyze mathematical concepts
  • ability to solve problems and interpret technical instructions

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • assist with setup, breakdown, and other aspects of event execution including A/V and equipment setup as directed
  • work with TAM staff and stakeholders to evaluate event effectiveness and areas for improvement
  • coordinate with security and operations to assess and manage safety and staffing resources for events
  • assist with event sales and communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • oversee events in absence of the Events Program Manager
  • contribute to the planning of various events
  • perform other duties as assigned
