Job Description

The Ritz-Carlton is a globally recognized luxury hospitality brand known for delivering exceptional guest experiences across more than 100 award-winning properties worldwide. As part of Marriott International, The Ritz-Carlton embodies a rich culture that values the unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences of its associates, fostering an inclusive environment that promotes creativity, thoughtfulness, and compassion. The brand is synonymous with rare and special luxury service, setting the standard for excellence in the care and comfort of its guests. At The Ritz-Carlton, every associate is empowered to contribute to a world-class service culture founded on the Gold Standards, which include the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values. These principles are the cornerstone of the company’s commitment to delivering gracious and thoughtful service, ensuring that each guest encounter is memorable and reflective of the brand’s leadership in luxury hospitality.

The role of a Meet Group Coordinator/Host(ess) at The Ritz-Carlton is a vital position responsible for ensuring seamless event coordination and exemplary guest service during functions. As a Meet Group Coordinator/Host(ess), you will play an integral role in the successful execution of banquet events by coordinating closely with group coordinators and hosts prior to functions. Your responsibilities include making introductions, reviewing banquet event orders with meticulous attention to detail, and confirming arrangements such as setup, timelines, and special guest needs to guarantee a smooth operation. The position requires responding promptly and efficiently to any special banquet event requests, securing compliance with those arrangements, and maintaining communication with other team members to uphold The Ritz-Carlton’s high service standards.

Beyond event coordination, this role demands adherence to all company policies and safety regulations, including reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions. Presenting a professional image through a clean uniform and excellent personal appearance is essential, as is maintaining the confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets. A key aspect of the position involves welcoming and acknowledging guests warmly and professionally, anticipating their service needs, and expressing genuine appreciation for their patronage. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including clear telephone etiquette, are necessary to support teamwork and positive relationships with colleagues, contributing to a work environment focused on common goals and quality standards.

The Meet Group Coordinator/Host(ess) must also demonstrate physical capability to perform job duties that often require standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting, and moving objects up to 25 pounds. The role may involve navigating confined or elevated spaces, as well as potentially slippery or uneven surfaces, underlining the importance of physical stamina and safety awareness. The Ritz-Carlton embraces associates with varied backgrounds, and the Meet Group Coordinator/Host(ess) position is open to applicants who have a minimum of one year of related work experience and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. While no supervisory experience or certifications are required, the successful candidate will be committed to the company’s mission and values, eager to engage fully in The Ritz-Carlton culture, and ready to be part of a luxury hospitality team recognized worldwide.

This position represents an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers in event coordination and guest service within a prestigious luxury hotel environment. As a member of The Ritz-Carlton team, you will not only contribute to creating unforgettable guest experiences but also grow professionally while working alongside some of the top hospitality professionals in the world. The company offers a supportive and inclusive workplace where diversity is celebrated and equal opportunity is practiced without discrimination. Working at The Ritz-Carlton allows associates to be a part of a global brand that values quality, innovation, and hospitality excellence, ensuring every team member is positioned for success in a dynamic and rewarding industry.
