Job Description

Fresno Mission is a respected non-denominational evangelical ministry committed to transforming lives through its outreach programs. Located at the City Center campus in Fresno, this ministry dedicates itself to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ while providing essential services such as food, shelter, clothing, education, job training, and family renewal to the poor and those struggling with addiction. As an organization rooted deeply in Christian faith, Fresno Mission operates both as a support system and a transformative community resource, fostering spiritual growth alongside physical and emotional healing.\n\nThe role of Events Coordinator at Fresno Mission is a dynamic position that serves as a vital link between the Development Team and various stakeholders involved in the planning and execution of both internal and external events. Collaborating closely with the Manager of Business Partnership and the Chief Strategy Officer, the Events Coordinator plays a key administrative and organizational role in managing events held both at the City Center campus and other locations. This position handles a wide range of tasks from scheduling and coordinating internal meetings and special dinners to supporting large-scale fundraising events that attract anywhere from a dozen to thousands of guests.\n\nThis role is perfect for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate is compassionate and treats people with dignity and respect, reflecting Fresno Mission's core values. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, email communication, and database management is essential, as the role requires frequent interaction with staff, vendors, renters, and donors. Dependability and discretion are critical since the Events Coordinator will handle sensitive and confidential information regularly.\n\nMoreover, the Events Coordinator is expected to be a team player who supports the Development Team by assisting with various fundraising efforts and special projects whenever needed. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to Fresno Mission's mission by creating environments that foster community engagement, donor involvement, and spiritual outreach through well-planned and executed events. Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and weekends is also beneficial, with a strong emphasis on adaptability and responsiveness to the needs of a constantly changing environment. Overall, this role blends event coordination with faith-based service, making it an excellent fit for someone with a mature Christian walk who wants to serve both the ministry and the community effectively.
