The role of Lifestyle and Events Coordinator is vital within FirstService Residential's community management framework, focused on enriching the lifestyle of residents by developing and implementing engaging programs and social events. This full-time position, compensated at $27 per hour, is designed for an enthusiastic, creative individual with a passion for event planning and customer service. The Coordinator partners closely with management and residents to promote and execute a wide variety of recreational, social, and entertainment activities that foster a strong community spirit. Responsibilities extend beyond event coordination to include a range of administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, promotional content creation, volunteer management, and compliance with local regulations.

Working primarily out of the Cave Creek, AZ location, the Lifestyle and Events Coordinator operates Monday through Friday with eight-hour days, plus some evenings and weekends as necessary to support community events. The position calls for an individual capable of balancing multiple responsibilities – from planning sizeable community-wide events and weekend activities to working with vendors, business owners, and volunteers to maximize participation. The ideal candidate will possess superb communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all events meet health and safety standards and accessibility requirements.

Additionally, this role involves financial oversight including budget planning for events and programs, managing contract execution and fee collection, and maintaining thorough records. The Coordinator will also engage in post-event evaluation to gather feedback and continually enhance programming effectiveness. A successful candidate will be adept at technological applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, and prior experience in property management or HOA environments is considered a significant asset. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry equipment up to 25 pounds and to endure the physical demands of event setups and community walks.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of coordinating and promoting recreational and volunteer programs required
  • higher education in recreation hospitality or communication fields preferred
  • excellent technology and Microsoft Office Suite skills required
  • prior experience in property management or HOA management is a plus
  • able to safely lift carry and pull up to 25 pounds
  • able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • able to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • able to work in a fast-paced environment while staying on task
  • able to work extended hours when necessary along with holidays and weekends as needed

Job Duties

  • Plan and execute resident programs and community-wide events including weekend activities
  • ensure all events comply with local regulations including permits health and safety standards and accessibility requirements
  • lead event supply procurement setup and breakdown of community events
  • engage residents business owners sponsors and vendors to enhance participation and awareness
  • provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests in person via email and by phone
  • manage scheduling and programming for the community center and parks aligning with financial goals and member needs
  • oversee and manage private scheduling contract execution and fee collection
