Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in retail or customer service
Experience working with children and managing children's events
Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store
Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves safely
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to handle job stress and work well with guests of all ages and coworkers
Ability to perform basic administrative tasks
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed
Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
Ability to maintain a positive and respectful attitude
Eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

Experience working with children and children's events
Retail and customer service experience
Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
Energetic and enthusiastic personality
Ability to instruct and engage participants in craft activities
Basic administrative skills for managing communications and documentation

Job Duties

Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events
Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects and perform activities like face painting
Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
Communicate events with clients and store team members
Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork
Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs
Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed
Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
Uphold the company's cleanliness and safety standards including setup and breakdown before and after events
Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
Support shrink and safety programs
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs ensuring compliance with laws and policies
Interact positively and respectfully with customers and team members, promoting company values and serving as a role model
Be cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production
Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance
Perform other duties as assigned
