Job Requirements

- have a bachelor's degree in events management or related field preferred but not required
- have proven experience as an events planner or organizer
- have intermediate level experience with practical application
- ability to handle multiple hour segments of high energy during services and events
- able to work the regular weekly schedule of 40-45 hours and additional hours during event seasons
- be willing to travel locally between campuses and on occasional overnight trips

Job Duties
- Aggressively gather information and needs on each project to achieve quality event productions
- conduct research, make site visits, and find resources to help staff and department leaders make decisions about event possibilities
- create event execution plan
- create an event resume and timeline for each event
- propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process
- serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters
- assist with managing on-site production and clean up for events as necessary
- close out all events as required including post event review, thank you notes, updated binder
- manage Dream Teams
- assist with preparing budgets and provide periodic progress reports to staff directors for each event
- keep track of event finances including check requests, invoicing, and reporting
- handle facility rentals from beginning to end
- coordinate appointments and visits to see church space and schedule events on the calendar
- prepare and modify event contracts as requested
- finalize event content including selecting and booking speakers and preparing materials
- determine and solidify technical requirements such as staging, lighting, sound, and multimedia
- arrange food and beverage
- schedule event photographers
- determine staffing for events and manage building access
- build Dream Team culture and lead departments that report through you
- invest in leaders and mentor Dream Team members
- ensure Dream Teams are scheduled and prepared
- write and refine policies and procedures
- monitor department activities to ensure church culture prevails
- perform regular onsite visits to maintain culture and provide training
- lead a Connect Group with team members or church members
