Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field such as marketing, hospitality management, events management, or communications
- 2 to 3 years of experience in event or tradeshow planning
- CMP certification strongly desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with event planning software platforms like CVENT preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically
- Must be available to work onsite at Berlin, CT office 5 days a week
- Regular availability at New Haven, CT location during events
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Professional demeanor and client-focused attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, hospitality management, events management, communications or related field
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of event or tradeshow planning experience
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation strongly desired
- Experience with digital marketing, social media channels, and marketing automation platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with event planning software such as CVENT preferred
- Familiarity with Adobe products, Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and project management platforms like Monday.com considered a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
Job Duties
- Coordinate and support all Red Carpet Tour events including scheduling, communications, on-site execution, follow-up, budgeting, and reporting
- Assist National Events Manager with organizing rooming lists, attendee registrations, contract initiation, equipment and literature ordering, staff communications, on-site support, social media promotions, invoice reconciliation, feedback collection and analysis, and other administrative duties
- Provide support to field sales teams for local and regional events including promotion, venue and catering coordination, display and sample management
- Source promotional items for various events
- Provide overall support to marketing and training departments as needed
- Manage event budgets and financial reconciliation
- Facilitate exceptional attendee experiences for both internal and external customers
