Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Experience working with children and children's events
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and use ladders for accessing high shelves
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Ability to engage positively in a public retail store environment
  • Must satisfy federal, state, and local legal job requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Retail or customer service experience required
  • Experience working with children and children's events preferred
  • Excellent people skills
  • Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children's birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct in craft projects, perform face painting and other activities
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons following company standards
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and needs
  • Create backup plans for emergencies
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • Uphold cleanliness and safety standards by setting up, breaking down, and cleaning after events
  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
  • Promote Rewards program and credit card enrollments
  • Educate on Voice of Customer survey
  • Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram duties
  • Perform merchandise recovery and store optimization tasks
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to company policies and compliance standards
  • Interact respectfully with others and promote company vision
  • Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
