Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, analyze and verify banquet event orders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with food and beverage service standards
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the position

  • Commitment to upholding quality and service standards

Job Duties

  • Meet with group coordinators or hosts before receptions
  • Make introductions and ensure all preparations are agreed upon
  • Review and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information
  • Determine proper organization, timing, and specific guest needs
  • Attend to and try to meet all special banquet event preparations
  • Follow up on special banquet event preparations to ensure compliance
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents or injuries
  • Maintain neat and professional uniform and appearance
  • Protect company property and maintain confidentiality
  • Support coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect
  • Assist the team to achieve common goals
  • Comply with quality assurance standards
  • Perform physical activities such as moving, lifting, transporting objects under 25 pounds
  • Stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods
  • Read and visually check information in various formats
  • Inspect tools, equipment or machinery to identify defects
  • Reach above head, below knees, bend, twist waist, crawl and stoop
  • Move through narrow, confined or elevated spaces
  • Navigate inclined, uneven or slippery surfaces and stairs
  • Greet and recognize all guests according to company standards
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with others
  • Answer phone calls using proper etiquette
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors
