Job Requirements
- Must have graduated from an accredited high school or possess a State of Florida G.E.D. certificate or equivalent
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida driver’s license
- Must be of good moral character
- Must submit to a post-offer physical examination, drug screen and Level II fingerprinting
- Provide a minimum of three professional or personal references
- Upload required documents including H.S. Diploma or G.E.D., college diploma if applicable, veteran preference documentation if applicable, and military discharge certificates if applicable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D required
- Associate degree preferred in Recreation, Leisure, Event Management, or related field
- Two years of professional experience in event coordination or community programming
- Knowledge of recreational program marketing and event planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and RecTrac
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to maintain professional and ethical conduct
- Crowd Manager Training to be completed within six months
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification to be completed within six months
Job Duties
- Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of community and special events
- Promote city events and assist with local business sponsorships and donations
- Coordinate operations related to city and co-sponsored events and senior activities
- Draft vendor agreements and recruit event vendors
- Process requisitions, invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments
- Manage inventory of event equipment and supplies
- Serve as backup to the Events Supervisor and perform other duties as assigned
