Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in event management, trade show coordination or related field OR High School diploma/GED with 7+ years of experience in event management, trade show coordination or related field
  • Must be able to travel approximately 20% including 4-6 weekends annually

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or high school diploma/GED with substantial experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in event management or trade show coordination preferred
  • Proven ability to manage complex event logistics and budgets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative decision-making skills in event design and branding
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales and marketing teams
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% including some weekends annually

Job Duties

  • Manage company exhibits, conferences, and trade events aligning activities with sales objectives
  • Handle logistics for industry events including registrations, meetings, meals, shipments, schedules, and customer and event dinners
  • Provide clear communication and direction to Purina Sales, customers, production partners, and industry associations for conventions and conferences
  • Provide business support for the Director/VP Trade and Industry Development and Purina Sales teams for all industry/trade events
  • Make decisions on creative design elements for industry events and conferences representing Purina as the Voice of the Category
  • Manage budgets related to Customer & Industry Development
  • Exhibit event planning and coordination skills including participant registration, logistics for setup and teardown, meals, meeting calendars, and general meeting planning
  • Develop key relationships with internal Purina contacts, production partners, industry associations, and key customers to enhance operational efficiency and ensure effective meetings and scheduling
