The role of the Events & Programs Specialist at Life Enriching Communities is a part-time position scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with additional hours on weekends as needed. This specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the lives of senior residents by planning, developing, and coordinating engaging events and programs tailored to meet their needs and interests. As an Events & Programs Specialist, the candidate will collaborate closely with other departments as well as the wider community to offer diverse and innovative programming designed to stimulate social interaction, mental acuity, and physical wellness among residents. The position includes responsibilities such as organizing community events, managing volunteers, preparing regulatory compliant activity assessments and progress notes, and ensuring that wellness programs are effectively implemented across nursing units.

Job Requirements
- CNA certification preferred
- Two years of experience in social or recreational programming in a health care setting working with residents with dementia preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with demonstrated creativity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Duties
- Participates in planning and leads creative community events and programs of interest to residents and families
- Organizes volunteers
- Prepares activity assessments and MDS for each resident according to regulatory requirements and completes participation in Care tracker
- Prepares progress notes per regulatory standards
- Assists with arranging transportation to events, programs and field trips as necessary
- Implements passive exercise and wellness programs on the nursing units
- Performs other duties as assigned
