The Events and Programs Specialist role at Life Enriching Communities is a full-time position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule to best meet the needs of the community. This specialist role is critical to fostering wellness and engagement within the senior living environment by planning, developing, and coordinating creative community events and programming tailored for residents and their families. The specialist must harness creativity and excellent listening skills to design engaging activities that promote a vibrant, enjoyable lifestyle for residents. The position involves collaborating with various departments and the community at large to ensure the programming aligns with residents' interests and wellness goals. Key responsibilities include organizing volunteers, managing transportation arrangements for activities, preparing detailed activity assessments and progress notes compliant with regulatory standards, and implementing passive exercise and wellness programs on nursing units. The specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing residents' quality of life by carefully curating programs that encourage participation, socialization, and overall well-being.

Job Requirements
- CNA certification preferred
- 2 years of experience in social or recreational programming in a health care setting working with residents with Dementia preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with demonstrated creativity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Duties
- Participates in planning and leads creative community events of interest to residents and families
- Organizes volunteers
- Prepares activity assessments and MDS for each resident according to regulatory requirements and completes participation in Caretracker
- Prepares progress notes per regulatory standards
- Assists with arranging transportation to events, programs and field trips as necessary
- Implements passive exercise and wellness programs on the nursing units
