Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in space management, event planning, or project management
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, EMS, and related software systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to perform tasks including bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting up to 25 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree with higher education experience preferred
- Prior experience in space management, project management, or event planning
- Knowledge of software platforms including MS Office, Word, Outlook, Excel, work order systems, and EMS
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Ability to create and sustain productive and collaborative interpersonal relationships
- Demonstrated initiative, energy, and flexibility
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
- Physical capability to bend, stoop, climb, and lift weights up to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary events liaison for the Division of Academic Affairs in matters related to campus space usage and event support services coordination
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of the Event Management System (EMS) and LiveWhale calendaring system for scheduling campus spaces and events
- Coordinate designated events and programs including risk assessments, securing permits and licenses, vendor contract compliance, and staffing arrangements
- Provide direct support to the Director of Events and Campus Operations including the Sustainability Center, assisting with strategic planning, reporting, communications, and special projects
- Manage the College's event and operations equipment inventory in coordination with Facilities and department staff
- Assist with large college event programs such as New Student Orientation, President's Convocation, Fall Weekend, Honors Day, Commencement, and Reunion Weekend
- Attend regularly scheduled staff, individual, and committee meetings, and participate in staff development activities
- Perform other related duties as assigned based on departmental needs
