We are currently seeking a full-time Events & Parties Operations Manager based at Malibu Jack's in Lafayette, Indiana. This critical role requires a highly motivated individual to lead the events team, focusing on planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events while enhancing overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a passion for delivering memorable experiences.

As the Events & Parties Operations Manager, you will oversee comprehensive event coordination including logistics such as space setup, catering, and entertainment, ensuring flawless event execution and superior guest satisfaction. You will manage all incoming birthday party requests through phone and online bookings and oversee the delivery of birthdays, company events, and other functions hosted at the park.

Your responsibilities also encompass administrative duties like planning party area execution, scheduling event hosts, communicating with clients to clarify event details, answering queries about event packages, and handling inventory control and report management related to events. Leading a diverse team, you will ensure smooth operational flow and high standards of customer service while supervising host staff in cleaning party areas, food delivery, banquet setup, and on-the-day event support.

In addition to managing client relations by cultivating and maintaining strong partnerships with clients, vendors, and partners to improve service offerings and stimulate repeat business, you will play a key role in collaborating with the sales team to promote party packages and group offerings. This includes assisting in the creation of promotional materials designed to boost sales and visibility.

Effective communication is essential as you will regularly train and engage with Shift Leads and other team leaders to align everyone towards common goals and strategies, fostering a culture of teamwork, open communication, and shared success. This role demands flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the entertainment and events industry.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • must have at least one year of management or supervisory experience
  • experience in events and parties management is required
  • must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • must be able to work up to 45 hours per week available every weekend
  • able to stand for long periods of time
  • able to lift 39lbs unaided
  • valid driver's license required
  • authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in operations management and event coordination preferably in family entertainment or hospitality industry

Job Duties
