Job Description

Apartment Life is a community-focused organization dedicated to enriching the lives of residents living in apartment communities through meaningful connections, excellent events, and genuine care. With an emphasis on blending business with ministry, Apartment Life aims to transform apartment living into a thriving, supportive environment where residents feel valued, connected, and cared for. The organization operates through dedicated coordinators who plan and execute engaging events aimed at fostering community spirit and promoting wellness among residents. The coordinators of Apartment Life are mission-minded individuals who embrace the vision and mission of the organization by offering hospitality that embodies radical love and genuine concern for others. They combine skills in planning, communication, and community engagement to consistently deliver excellent experiences that resonate meaningfully with residents and staff alike. Coordinators play an integral role in crafting a social environment that not only entertains but also connects residents, linking them with local services, vendors, and support networks within the broader community. This particular position is an unpaid role requiring a weekly commitment of 12 hours, primarily during evenings and weekends when residents are home. It is ideal for individuals passionate about community development, event planning, and ministry who wish to make a positive impact by blending their faith with practical service. As an Events and Ministry Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering two events each month tailored to build relationships among residents and between residents and the wider community. Your responsibilities will extend beyond event planning to include marketing event activities through various channels such as flyers and social media, managing budgets, and collaborating closely with property management staff and program directors. In addition, you will engage with residents personally by visiting new arrivals and those concluding their lease, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported throughout their residency. This role serves as a unique opportunity to participate in a ministry-based business model where excellence and care go hand in hand to enhance the apartment community experience. The position offers meaningful engagement with residents, opportunities for leadership development through coordinating volunteer teams and vendors, and a chance to grow personally and professionally in community outreach and event coordination. While this role is unpaid, it provides invaluable experience and the satisfaction of contributing positively to the lives of others through creative and purposeful service.
