Job Description

Apartment Life is a community-focused organization dedicated to enhancing the living experience within apartment communities through engaging programs and services. Their mission centers on fostering vibrant, supportive, and well-connected living environments that promote social engagement, wellness, and personal growth among residents. They work collaboratively with corporate, government, and nonprofit partners to tailor programs that meet the unique needs of each community they serve. As a part of their service delivery, they seek committed individuals to join their team in roles that emphasize event coordination and resident support. Apartment Life emphasizes a collaborative approach, where team members work closely with supervisors and community residents to design and implement meaningful activities that enrich the apartment living experience.

The role of Events and Ministry Coordinator, also referred to internally as Coordinator of Resident Services, is a part-time position based in Broken Arrow, OK, that plays a pivotal role in executing the service plan of Apartment Life. This position is unique in that it is compensated not through a traditional salary but by providing discounted rent to those living onsite at the community where they serve. The coordinator will work about 12 hours per week, starting in May 2026, as part of a two-person team who will serve together for a two-year term. This team can be made up of married couples, adult family members, or two roommates of the same gender, highlighting the organization's flexible and inclusive approach to service.

The primary responsibilities of this role include preparing a monthly schedule of events and programming to meet community needs, which may span a variety of activities such as resident events, workshops, and resource-sharing activities. Coordinators are expected to host several events monthly that promote social interaction, health, well-being, enrichment, and stability among residents. They will also engage directly with residents to provide support and connect them with resources, including rental and food assistance programs. Coordination with onsite staff and regular communication with Apartment Life supervisors are essential components of this role, ensuring consistent alignment with community goals and program effectiveness.

Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for maintaining program quality by overseeing event execution from planning to completion, submitting monthly impact reports, and staying responsive to the evolving needs of residents. Flexibility is key, as the role might require working during business hours, evenings, and weekends to accommodate residents' schedules. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about community service, event planning, and social impact, who are looking to make a meaningful contribution while living within a supportive apartment community environment.
