Job Description

Apartment Life is an organization that focuses on community engagement and enhancing the living experience within apartment communities through mission-driven services and support. Their efforts are centered on creating neighborhoods where residents feel connected, cared for, and supported not only by their neighbors but also through local resources and businesses. This organization is dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents by providing well-planned events, social engagement opportunities, and elevated acts of care, all while fostering a spirit of love and relational ministry. Apartment Life integrates business excellence with a genuine commitment to loving their neighbors, which makes it a unique environment for those passionate about service and community building. The company offers opportunities where coordinators can live onsite, thereby immersing themselves fully in the communities they serve and engaging more deeply with residents. This role is not a paid position but is compensated through discounted rent for living onsite at the community, located in Melissa, TX. The position requires approximately 12 hours per week as of March 2026. Applicants should note that the job demands flexibility in working hours including business hours, evenings, and weekends to accommodate resident schedules and event timings.

The Events and Ministry Coordinator role specifically involves coordinating and executing the service plans tailored for Apartment Life's community outreach projects. This position is also internally called the Coordinator of Neighborhood Services. The coordinator works closely with supervisors to prepare a monthly schedule of events and programs designed to meet the diverse needs of each apartment community. These programs focus on resident engagement, from social events to welcoming new residents and providing acts of care that enhance resident life. Extensive event planning experience is essential, as well as skills in marketing and social media to effectively communicate and promote community activities. The role requires managing event budgets, preparing monthly reports, engaging volunteers and community partners, and maintaining strong relationships with residents. Additionally, the coordinator will visit new and departing residents to foster a caring community atmosphere and ensure residents feel supported throughout their lease. This role is ideal for someone mission-minded, relational, and passionate about helping others experience unconditional love while blending business skills with ministry objectives. Overall, this opportunity offers a meaningful way to contribute to a vibrant apartment community while developing event coordination and community engagement skills within a faith-driven context.
