Job Description
Apartment Life is a community-focused organization dedicated to enriching the lives of apartment residents through exceptional events and meaningful connections. As a mission-driven company, Apartment Life operates within residential apartment communities to promote a sense of belonging, wellness, and active engagement among residents. This organization blends the principles of excellent business practices with a ministry-oriented approach, aiming to foster a caring and welcoming atmosphere for all residents. The team is passionate about delivering radical hospitality and genuine care, contributing positively to the lives of individuals and the broader apartment community.
This position is an Events and Ministry Coordinator role, offering a unique opportunity to impact apartment communities through well-planned social events and personalized resident engagement. Although this is not a paid position, it holds significant value for those who are mission-minded and passionate about serving others. Coordinators are essential liaisons who bring the Apartment Life vision to life by creating irresistible events, fostering strong relationships with residents, and acting as a supportive presence within the community. The coordinator’s work involves planning monthly events, enhancing resident experiences, and linking residents with community resources and local businesses.
The role requires a combination of event planning skills, interpersonal communication, and organizational abilities, all within a framework of love and outreach. Coordinators are entrusted with managing event budgets, developing marketing materials such as flyers and social media posts, and collaborating with staff and volunteers to maximize event impact. Additionally, the position involves personal visits to residents to establish connections shortly after move-in or before lease-end, reinforcing a supportive atmosphere.
Onsite coordinators commit approximately 12 hours per week and live onsite at the community in exchange for reduced rent, while offsite coordinators work 8-16 hours per month without residing onsite and receive hourly compensation. This flexible structure allows coordinators to select the option that best fits their lifestyle and commitment level. Apartment Life welcomes individuals who enjoy meeting new people, possess a servant-heart, and are excited to bring their creativity and energy into a ministry-integrated business setting. This role promises fulfillment through making a tangible difference in residents' lives by combining social entrepreneurship with community ministry.
