The Events & Ministry Coordinator role is a vital part of Apartment Life's vision to create an exceptional Apartment Life experience. This paid position offers $20 per hour for up to 16 hours per month, making it ideal for individuals who are passionate about community building and ministry. Coordinators are responsible for planning and hosting engaging social activities that bring residents together and foster a sense of belonging. The role requires a mission-minded, relational, and responsible individual who enjoys meeting new people and facilitating opportunities that allow others to experience unconditional love through genuine acts of hospitality and support. The coordinator not only organizes events but also manages marketing efforts, including creating promotional materials such as monthly calendars, flyers, and social media content to enhance the community's online presence. Additionally, coordinators oversee event budgets, submit detailed monthly reports, and contribute to planning and development efforts in collaboration with the Program Director and onsite staff. Recruiting and coordinating volunteers and partners to maximize outreach impact is also an essential component of the job. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Basic fluency in English, including the ability to create marketing materials and complete required reports
  • Possess a valid driver's license, current liability insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Availability to commit weekly hours, primarily during evenings and weekends
  • Ability to commit to the minimum term of service at the assigned apartment community

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Basic fluency in English, including the ability to create marketing materials and complete required reports
  • Possess a valid driver's license, current liability insurance, and reliable transportation for duties such as shopping for events and meeting vendors
  • Physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Availability to commit weekly hours, primarily during evenings and weekends when residents are most often home
  • Ability to commit to the minimum term of service at the assigned apartment community
  • Previous experience planning or coordinating events
  • Experience working within a budget
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing practices
  • An existing network of potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners

Job Duties

  • Plan and host two high-quality monthly events for residents with the purpose of caring for and connecting residents to one another, onsite staff, and local services or businesses
  • Provide a consistent, caring presence for residents and property staff with the support of residents, volunteers, and community partners
  • Enhance the community's online reputation by inviting residents to share their experiences
  • Create marketing materials for activities, including monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media posts
  • Manage the event budget and related processes
  • Prepare and submit monthly summaries and reports
  • Meet regularly with onsite staff and the Program Director for planning, training, and development
  • Recruit, engage, and coordinate volunteers, vendors, and community partners to maximize impact
