Job Description

Apartment Life is a faith-based, non-profit organization that has been serving the apartment industry since 2000. Dedicated to fostering genuine community connections and offering radical hospitality, Apartment Life believes in the power of loving our neighbors as ourselves. The organization’s mission combines faith with business excellence, aiming to create thriving apartment communities where residents experience a strong, supportive environment. Through a unique model that integrates ministry and community engagement, Apartment Life provides both social value and strong business outcomes for apartment owners, making it a leader in its sector.

The Events and Ministry Coordinator role is a pivotal position within Apartment Life, focused on enhancing the resident experience across multiple apartment communities. This role embodies the mission of Apartment Life by creating vibrant event programming that not only entertains but builds deep interpersonal connections among residents and staff. Coordinators serve as community catalysts, fostering an environment where residents feel cared for, connected, and valued. By coordinating four events per month—one for each of the four communities served—the Coordinator plays a critical role in nurturing community spirit and supporting the well-being of residents.

Coordinators bring a strong passion for social interaction combined with excellent organizational skills. They develop marketing materials, manage event budgets, and prepare monthly summaries, ensuring a professional and seamless event experience. This role requires engaging with volunteers, vendors, and community partners, maximizing the positive impact of events. Coordinators also enhance the online reputation of communities by encouraging residents to share their experiences, blending community-building with strategic marketing. With a commitment to serving in a ministry-minded way, the coordinator not only performs job functions but also lives out the mission of love and care embedded in Apartment Life’s vision.

This position is part-time, requiring about 32 hours per month, primarily during evenings and weekends when residents are most available. Coordinators need to be relational, responsible, and mission-minded individuals who can blend hospitality with exemplary business practices. The role also offers an opportunity to work within a faith-driven nonprofit environment, allowing the coordinator to not only advance their career but also impact lives through meaningful community service and ministry work.
