The Events Manager ensures that every event reflects and strengthens Sheppard Pratt's mission, amplifies its visibility, and deepens meaningful connections with donors, employees, board members, and the broader community.

The position works closely with the Office of the President to orchestrate high-profile events involving distinguished guests, including elected officials, corporate leaders, and community partners. Responsibilities encompass developing event strategies, managing budgets, coordinating promotional efforts, and overseeing on-site event logistics to guarantee seamless execution. Events range from special, elevated gatherings and stewardship functions to employee engagement activities. The Events Manager also serves as an ambassador within the community, building partnerships and representing Sheppard Pratt at external events.

Critical to this role is the ability to innovate by incorporating novel event approaches and staying current with event trends, technologies, and best practices. The position standardizes event workflows, manages vendor relationships, and ensures compliance with budgets while continuously evaluating event outcomes to improve future initiatives. Flexibility is essential, with work hours encompassing nights and weekends to accommodate event schedules.

Sheppard Pratt offers a supportive work environment characterized by a commitment to professional development, including tuition reimbursement opportunities, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, 403b retirement matching, generous paid time off, an employee assistance program, and mileage reimbursement. The pay range for this position is $79,975.79 to $131,800.45, with compensation determined by experience and qualifications.

This role is ideal for an experienced event management professional with at least five years of relevant experience, preferably in conferences or hospitality, who thrives in a mission-driven environment dedicated to making a difference in mental health care.
