Job Description
Six Flags Entertainment Corporation is a renowned leader in the amusement park industry, boasting a portfolio of over 40 unique and exciting properties across the United States and Canada. Among these properties is Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, located in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. Dorney Park is a premiere entertainment destination spread across 200 acres, offering thrilling rides, water attractions, and family-friendly experiences. With over 140 years of delivering fun and memorable experiences, Six Flags and Dorney Park are dedicated to creating a joyful environment for guests and employees alike. The company prides itself on its world-class team, innovation in entertainment, and commitment to guest satisfaction and safety.
The role available is a dynamic position within the park's activation team, focusing on event coordination and execution. This position plays a critical part in ensuring smooth communication and flawless execution of events and sponsorships that align with national and regional agreements. The hourly wage for this role is $16, making it an accessible opportunity for those looking to work in a vibrant entertainment environment. The job is well suited for individuals who enjoy working with diverse people, thrive in fast-paced settings, and have a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
As an event coordinator at Dorney Park, the successful candidate will handle various responsibilities, such as coordinating event logistics by working closely with the Activation Manager. They will manage communication between clients, sales teams, and park staff to ensure that every planning detail is meticulously executed, exceeding client expectations. On the day of the event, the coordinator will oversee the event's execution, supervising support teams, and addressing any client issues or requests promptly to maintain smooth operations. Additionally, the role involves supporting in-park sponsorship activations, ensuring they meet all contractual agreements and enhance the guest experience.
A key aspect of this position involves being the central point of contact, maintaining clear and consistent communication among clients, vendors, and internal teams. This helps in aligning all moving parts and mitigating potential challenges before they affect the event. In return, employees are rewarded with numerous perks, including paid training, free uniforms, free admission to Dorney Park and other Six Flags properties, free tickets for friends and family, and generous discounts on food and merchandise. Staff also enjoy participating in fun employee-only events such as ride nights, game nights, and free food gatherings.
This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a celebrated entertainment company, develop valuable skills, and contribute to creating lifelong memories for guests. Working with people from diverse backgrounds, candidates will enhance their interpersonal skills and enjoy numerous seasonal promotion opportunities. This job is ideal for those who are passionate about providing excellent service and being part of a fun and supportive team environment.
