Job Description

Eataly is the world’s largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace, renowned for its commitment to authentic Italian culinary traditions and high-quality ingredients. Unlike conventional chains, Eataly stores are unique, each embodying its own character and theme while maintaining a unified mission to offer guests an immersive experience to eat, shop, and learn about Italian cuisine. Guests can enjoy authentic Italian food at Eataly’s restaurants, cafés, and to-go counters, shop an extensive selection of high-quality Italian, local, and homemade products, and deepen their knowledge through educational classes led by passionate experts. Eataly is dedicated to promoting the culture of Italian food and beverage through hands-on experiences and expert knowledge, making it a leading destination for food lovers and culture seekers alike.

The Events and Education Manager at Eataly plays a critical role in orchestrating the company’s dynamic public and private events, ensuring that each event reflects the high standards and vibrant culture that define the Eataly brand. This manager oversees events ranging from cooking classes at La Scuola di Eataly — the company’s celebrated cooking school — to large private dinners and receptions for up to 500 guests. These events include group restaurant reservations, store buyouts, promotional press functions, and producer tastings, all designed to engage guests and promote authentic Italian culinary experiences.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Events and Education Manager supervises both the Education and Events teams, including front-of-house and back-of-house staff, ensuring seamless collaboration and flawless execution of every event. This role involves managing all communications related to La Scuola, such as handling private event requests, class registrations, and cancellations via email and telephone. The manager also ensures that each event runs smoothly, coordinating logistics and facilitating clear communication between clients, chefs, beverage managers, and restaurant personnel.

In addition to event execution, this position entails conceiving and creating public classes by drafting engaging class descriptions, compiling instructor biographies, and managing online registration processes to attract and inform participants. The manager also plays an active role in organizing larger storewide events, seasonal promotions, and partner collaborations, which helps to sustain Eataly’s reputation as a vibrant center for Italian culture and cuisine.

This full-time position comes with a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 annually and offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid parental leave, a 401K plan with company match, and employee discounts. Eataly values inclusivity and equal opportunity, ensuring a respectful and fair work environment for all employees. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional with a passion for Italian food culture and a proven track record in event management to join a pioneering company that continuously shapes authentic culinary experiences and education globally.
