Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of IT support or helpdesk experience
- Basic knowledge of networking and AV equipment
- Ability to travel to 7-9 regional events annually and 1-2 national events
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical setup tasks
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak event seasons
- Willingness to share accommodations during event assignments
Job Qualifications
- 1-3 years IT support or helpdesk experience in Windows/macOS environments
- Basic understanding of networking, AV equipment, and event technology systems
- Strong customer service skills and ability to troubleshoot calmly under pressure
- Comfortable traveling and working extended hours during peak event season
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset
- Bonus: experience in live events, performing arts, or production environments
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ are a plus
- Prior event production, AV, or similar technical experience strongly preferred
Job Duties
- Provide first-level helpdesk support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email, and device setup
- Oversee IT inventory, asset tracking, and vendor coordination
- Perform routine maintenance such as patching, backups, and system updates
- Support staff onboarding/offboarding with technology setup
- Set up and maintain all event technology including stage, audio, video, lighting, and computer systems
- Ensure seamless integration of AV, networking, and POS systems between touring and venue infrastructure
- Perform live troubleshooting for technical issues during events
- Manage and operate digital video capture, live streaming equipment, and critique video systems
- Support load-in/load-out activities including staging and production tasks
- Provide front-table computer support for judging/scoring systems and cellular-based Wi-Fi networks
- Troubleshoot networking issues including cradle point systems and bandwidth management
- Maintain familiarity with video software, media systems, and Microsoft Windows/Office environments
- Occasionally fill in for Announcer or Video Specialist roles during events as scheduled
