The role of Event Technology Specialist at McDermott Will & Schulte is a crucial position within the firm’s event management and marketing framework. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of digital event assets, chiefly focusing on the creation, optimization, and execution of event registration websites, mobile applications, and other digital experiences using the cloud-based platform CVENT. Reporting directly to the Event Technology Manager, the specialist aims to deliver outstanding user experience (UX) through careful attention to quality, usability, and alignment with event objectives and brand standards. The specialist collaborates across departments such as Events, Marketing, and Business Development to capture and translate complex requirements into seamless digital experiences that encompass registration, agendas, networking functionalities, and attendee engagement. This role demands a combination of technical skills, creative problem-solving, and project management capabilities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. The Event Technology Specialist also ensures smooth integration with the firm’s Salesforce systems, maintaining data integrity for registrations and attendance. Additional responsibilities include conducting quality assurance testing, troubleshooting issues throughout event lifecycles, and innovating through up-to-date knowledge of UX/UI trends and event technology advancements. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Design, build, and maintain event websites and mobile apps with a focus on usability, performance, and accessibility
conduct quality control/quality assurance of digital event assets including websites and mobile apps to ensure they meet quality standards and project scope
advise internal stakeholders on better ways to leverage CVENT technology to meet needs within established platform standards and guidelines
ensure consistent, high-quality UX across registration, agendas, networking features, and other event touchpoints
ensure each event setup has correct integration points with Salesforce so that registration and attendance information flows seamlessly between systems, escalating issues or enhancements as needed
conduct usability reviews and testing to validate functionality and improve attendee engagement
optimize apps and websites for cross-device performance, ensuring responsive and seamless experiences
document processes, create templates, and recommend best practices to improve future event builds
stay current on UX/UI and CVENT trends and event technology innovations to enhance customer experiences
troubleshoot and resolve UX or technical issues quickly during the event lifecycle
