With an extensive global presence and being consistently ranked on Travel Weekly's Power List, Direct Travel/ATPI fosters a work culture deeply rooted in integrity, ownership, grit, heart, courage, and curiosity.
The Event Technology Project Manager role at Creative Group, a division within Direct Travel/ATPI, is a dynamic hybrid position based in Schaumburg, IL. Creative Group specializes in designing global programs and experiences aimed at rewarding excellence and inspiring people to maximize their potential. Known for its full-service performance improvement offerings, Creative Group's expertise encompasses meetings and events, group incentive travel, employee engagement and recognition, sales incentives, and channel loyalty programs, primarily servicing a clientele of Fortune 500 companies across diverse industries.
This role demands a highly analytical, detail-oriented individual responsible for managing various event and technology projects with precision. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in building registration websites using platforms such as CreativeEDGE, Cvent, and the Performance Solution Platform, while also handling related aspects of Cvent. The position involves developing mobile applications using EventAPP, Cvent's Hub App, and EventMobi, supporting technology on-site during events, and training team members on platform usage. Additionally, the Project Manager will manage builds in supplementary platforms like 6Connex for virtual environments, Survey Monkey for surveys, and other client-approved technology platforms.
A core component of the role is managing client relationships with professionalism and expertise, participating in planning calls, understanding client needs, and offering knowledgeable recommendations to enhance technology solutions. The Project Manager supports the internal Program Specialists and Registration Managers by providing troubleshooting assistance and ensuring seamless technology integration. On-site support is occasionally required, particularly for complex events or training sessions, showcasing the company's flexible approach to meeting client needs.
The position embodies Creative Group's cultural values, emphasizing a "no excuse" mentality that encourages ownership, problem-solving, resilience, and genuine care for clients and colleagues. The chosen candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, autonomy, flexibility, and strong communication capabilities, ensuring all projects meet deadlines and quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment that values innovation, growth, and the creation of meaningful experiences.
Direct Travel/ATPI provides a comprehensive Total Rewards Package that includes medical, dental, and vision benefits, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, rewards and recognition programs, sustainability efforts, diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives, and mental health support. This role not only offers a career path in the travel and event technology industry but also a chance to contribute to a company committed to radical care and inspiring people to thrive.
