Job Requirements

  • be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with six or more credit hours in the current semester or have been enrolled the preceding semester with plans to enroll in the next semester
  • maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA or be a newly enrolled student
  • ability to lift 50 pounds
  • ability to work in high and tight spaces
  • ability to maneuver small flights of stairs
  • available to work evenings and weekends
  • pass a background check

Job Qualifications

  • enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours
  • have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA or be a newly enrolled student
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • experience operating basic audio/visual equipment is a plus
  • dependability and flexibility to work weekends and evenings

Job Duties

  • manage ticket sales and patron attendance tracking
  • coordinate usher orientation and seating policies enforcement
  • maintain clean and safe house and lobby areas
  • provide customer service by answering patron questions
  • operate sound, lighting, recording, and video equipment
  • videotape events for university departments and organizations
  • troubleshoot audio/visual equipment issues in classrooms
