Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year leadership experience
  • Ability to stand and move actively for extended periods
  • Physical capability to perform duties involving stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to maintain mental and physical alertness to respond in emergencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work at multiple event venues in Portland, Oregon
  • Flexibility to work part-time hours based on event schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year leadership experience
  • Ability to stand for long periods and physically engage with guests
  • Capability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Demonstrated physical stamina and agility
  • Ability to react quickly and alertly in emergencies
  • Experience lifting/moving materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to transition quickly from sitting to standing positions

Job Duties

  • Meet with directors before events to review details
  • Supervise staff check-ins and event breakdowns
  • Ensure proper display and maintenance of food and beverage throughout events
  • Possess thorough knowledge of menu offerings
  • Build rapport with guests and utilize suggestive selling techniques
  • Assist guests in meal seating arrangements
  • Complete event setup and breakdown within set timelines
  • Conduct post-event inventory and restock as needed
  • Create and manage sales checks in point of sale systems
  • Understand and adhere to all event-related paperwork and reports
  • Maintain location appearance standards
  • Keep service areas clean and sanitary
  • Follow food safety and responsible alcohol service policies
  • Perform other assigned duties
