The role of Event Supervisor at Sodexo located at Georgia Institute of Technology - Bobby Dodd Stadium is a full-time position with a pay range from $8.00 to $37.92 per hour, dependent on experience and responsibilities. This position revolves around overseeing and managing food service operations during events at one of the busiest venues on the campus. The Event Supervisor works hands-on to direct and coordinate the daily actions of service employees including those involved in fast food, casual dining, café/counter service, banquets, and cafeterias. Reporting to site management, this leader acts as a critical link between management and staff, ensuring all activities operate smoothly, safely, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The supervisor helps maintain a safe work environment, supports employee training and orientation, and engages with consumers to address quality and service issues promptly. Strong multitasking skills are essential since the supervisor juggles various responsibilities simultaneously to deliver a seamless event experience. Employees in this role must exhibit flexibility in their schedule due to varying shifts and hours, with open availability preferred, enhancing the ability to meet event demands effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Open availability preferred
  • Ability to multitask and supervise multiple service areas
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
  • Reliable transportation to Bobby Dodd Stadium
  • Must be able to work varying shifts and hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Support management by supervising daily functions and employees during normal business operations
  • Help ensure a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees
  • Facilitate employee orientation and training
  • Work with consumers to ensure satisfaction in areas such as quality, service, and problem resolution
  • Attend work and report for scheduled shift on time with sufficient regularity
  • Perform other assigned tasks which may vary between accounts depending on business needs and client requirements
