Job Description
Rhino Staging, LLC is a premier provider of professional stage labor and rigging services, specializing in support for concert tours, festivals, and diverse live events throughout Utah. Founded in 1991, this company has built a reputation based on integrity, safety, and professional development, becoming a trusted partner for production companies operating in St. George, Provo, Ogden, Salt Lake City, and beyond. Rhino Staging has established itself as a leader by pioneering positive changes in the entertainment industry, consistently focusing on treating people well and doing things right. Their commitment to excellence has positioned them as the go-to resource for the safest and most proficient stage crews nationwide.
The role of General and Skilled Stagehands and Riggers at Rhino Staging offers an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in creating unforgettable live event experiences. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, appreciate live entertainment, and possess a strong work ethic coupled with a can-do attitude. As a stagehand or rigger, you will play a critical role in setting the stage—literally—for successful events by providing hands-on support in the setup, operation, and dismantling of stage equipment.
These positions are seasonal and on-call, classified as W-2 employment, with schedules varying significantly to include nights, weekends, and holidays. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours, making flexibility and availability key attributes for candidates. Tasks require physical stamina, including the ability to push, pull, and lift heavy equipment (at least 50 pounds), as well as comfort working at heights and adapting to various weather conditions. Safety is paramount at Rhino Staging, and team members must adhere strictly to established safety protocols and company policies.
Successful candidates will work cohesively with supervisors and team members in diverse venues, gaining experience across venues ranging from small local stages to large-scale tour productions. The company values ongoing professional development, offering opportunities to acquire certifications such as OSHA 10, Fall Protection, and SPRAT/IRATA, which are highly regarded in the rigging and stage operations fields.
Working with Rhino Staging means joining an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and the fair treatment of all employees. The company fosters an inclusive culture and actively supports applicants from all backgrounds. While this job does not offer stocks or stock options, competitive pay is provided, with rates varying based on location, expertise, and experience. Rhino Staging encourages applications from individuals who are ready to contribute to the live entertainment industry with enthusiasm and professionalism while growing their skills in a dynamic and rewarding field. If you enjoy live events and want to be part of a respected team recognized nationwide for excellence, this role offers a unique gateway into the entertainment production world.
