Currently, Legends Global is seeking a dedicated Guest Services Supervisor for an exciting seasonal part-time opportunity at The Greek Theatre, a historic and iconic outdoor venue located in Los Angeles, California. The Guest Services Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the Event Services department, directly reporting to the Event Manager. This position is hourly and non-exempt, offering a competitive hourly wage of $20.20. The seasonal part-time nature of this role suits individuals seeking flexible employment with a focus on event-based work.
The Guest Services Supervisor position is designed for a proactive and personable professional who will supervise the guest services floor staff. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting guests at various events, ensuring outstanding and friendly customer service is consistently provided. The supervisor will serve as a knowledgeable venue ambassador, capable of offering insightful recommendations that enhance visitor experiences. Leadership duties are substantial, including training, managing, and mentoring guest services staff, conducting uniform checks, posting staff in designated positions, and enforcing company policies effectively.
This role demands excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as the supervisor will address and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally. They will also document any incidents or escalated concerns to management and assist the Event Manager in a timely fashion. Physical demands require the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to irregular schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar.
Applicants should possess at least a high school diploma or GED and have one year of customer service experience preferably with some management background. Fluency in English is required, with Spanish language skills considered a significant advantage. Job Duties
- Receive all guests with outstanding and friendly customer service
- be knowledgeable of the venue and offer suggestions to patrons to enhance the guest experience
- effectively train, lead, and supervise the Guest Services staff as assigned
- effectively communicate and document escalated customer issues and incidents to Management
- assist Event Manager in a timely and efficient manner
- supervise guest services employees
- conduct uniform check on every employee, every event and report deficiencies
- post staff in the positions designated by the Event Manager
- give every employee direction on the specific duties of their post
- ensure staff knows how to use any assigned equipment, train when necessary
- manage staff breaks, ensuring all breaks are completed per Legends Global policy
- oversee staff during events making sure staff is following all instructions
- enforce Legends Global and Greek Theatre policies
- evaluate and counsel/correct staff on job performance, attitude, and uniform each event
- document any issues on paperwork provided by Event Manager
- assist Event Manager and other supervisors when needed
- use outstanding, friendly customer service to address guest issues/problems in a professional manner
- be on time, good attendance is a must
- maintain professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic always
- follow all Legends Global / Greek Theater policies to be an example to the staff
- carry out all duties assigned by the Event Manager and/or Legends Global Management
