Job Description
Cohera Solutions is a dynamic company specializing in staffing and event management solutions, dedicated to providing top-tier support for various events across multiple cities. Known for its commitment to quality and client satisfaction, Cohera ensures that each event runs seamlessly by employing a professional, attentive, and well-trained team. The company values integrity, teamwork, and innovation and operates with a focus on exceeding client expectations while fostering a respectful and productive workplace environment. Cohera offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and event coordination to join their team as Event Staff members. Employment with Cohera is primarily on a contingent basis with variable scheduling depending on the event calendar. This role is ideal for those who enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and are committed to delivering outstanding service.
The Event Staff role at Cohera Solutions is centered on ensuring smooth operations during events by providing attentive and professional service. Employees in this position are expected to embody the company values by treating clients, partners, and guests with dignity and respect, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor throughout their shifts. The role involves adhering strictly to the Event Staff Agreement, which outlines reimbursable expenses, code of conduct, scheduling, and communications, ensuring all guidelines are followed meticulously. Event Staff members must attend annual training sessions, both in person and online, to stay updated on operational procedures and customer service standards.
Responsibilities include understanding the details of assigned shifts, following instructions from Event Managers, and being punctual and prepared for work. Reliable transportation within the resident city is crucial, with the expectation of covering the first 25 miles independently and submitting expenses for any additional mileage. The role requires wearing a uniform or adhering to a specified dress code, bringing necessary tools such as a clipboard, counter/clicker, fully charged smartphone, and meals. Accurate record-keeping and communication of guest counts, driver details, and other event specifics are vital components of the job. Event Staff are also tasked with supporting fellow team members and proactively addressing client needs to ensure an exceptional event experience.
Furthermore, the position demands flexibility, initiative, and creativity. Employees are encouraged to work collaboratively, take independent decisions, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance Cohera's services. The ability to react promptly to issues, anticipate client expectations, and maintain a broad knowledge of local destinations is essential. Technical proficiency, especially with the Dayforce mobile app for timekeeping and expense submission, is required for efficient payroll management. Quality of work and adherence to company policies greatly impact overall event success and company reputation, making each staff member's role critical to the cohesive function of the event team. The position often involves moderate discretion and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy under supervision.
Candidates seeking this role should have a minimum of one year of experience in the hospitality industry and demonstrate a "can-do" attitude with strong communication skills. Familiarity with local hotels, attractions, and airports enhances service quality. The job entails physical demands such as occasional lifting and mobility between locations, and the work environment is usually low noise but requires close attention to detail and the use of various office and electronic equipment. While work may be sporadic with periods of inactivity, this position offers valuable experience in the event management and hospitality domain, making it a compelling opportunity for professionals committed to excellence and client satisfaction.
