The Event Staff role at Cohera is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-moving event environment and have a passion for providing outstanding customer service. Event Staff members are ambassadors of the company and play a crucial role in ensuring every event runs smoothly and meets the high standards expected by clients. Responsibilities include attending training sessions, adhering to the Event Staff Agreement, and maintaining strong communication with Event Managers. This role requires punctuality, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a team-focused mindset.
Staff will be responsible for various tasks such as managing guest counts, assisting fellow staff, and supporting client, hotel, and vendor interactions with patience and attentiveness. A good working knowledge of local event locations and an ability to anticipate client needs are essential. The staff also utilize technology, including the Dayforce mobile app, to manage timekeeping and expenses efficiently. This position is ideal for those with at least one year of experience in the hospitality industry who possess solid communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
The role comes with flexibility regarding scheduling, although staff should be prepared to work overtime when required and adapt to changing event needs. Reliable transportation is necessary to navigate event locations within the resident city, with some travel expenses reimbursed according to company policy. Uniform regulations or dress code policies are enforced to maintain a professional appearance. Job Requirements
- minimum of one year work experience in hospitality industry
- reliable transportation to cover travel within resident city

- physical ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
- ability to work in variable noise levels and occasionally around office chemicals
- proficiency in technology usage including smartphones and the Dayforce app

- knowledge of local event locations and client service etiquette
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- be friendly, professional, attentive and always treat others with dignity and respect
- know all details of the Event Staff Agreement including reimbursable expenses, code of conduct, scheduling, and communications
- attend required annual in-person and online training classes and complete them by due date
- be thoroughly familiar with details of assigned shifts and follow direction given by Event Manager
- have reliable transportation and be punctual, arriving prepared for scheduled shifts
- print Schedule of Services, group sign, and program manifest as required
- bring necessary items such as a clear clipboard, counter/clicker, fully charged smartphone, phone charger, water, snacks, and meals
- arrive in uniform or adhere to the specified dress code if uniform is not yet provided
- keep records of guest counts, driver details, and pertinent event information and communicate updates to Event Manager
- perform duties as outlined in the Schedule of Services
- assist and support fellow event staff
- interact professionally and attentively with clients, hotel partners, and vendors
- anticipate clients’ needs to ensure exceptional program experience
- respond promptly to issues that arise during events
- maintain knowledge of local destinations and event locations
- clock in and out using the Dayforce mobile app and submit accurate hours and expenses in alignment with payroll calendar
