Its dedication to serving vulnerable populations and providing support to those in need has made it a trusted and respected institution worldwide. The Salvation Army’s faith-driven ethos ensures that all its activities and programs operate under principles aligned with its religious convictions and moral standards.
This part-time summer seasonal position offers an opportunity to contribute to The Salvation Army's community impact by assisting with event facilitation at the Western Plains Camp. The role is designed for individuals who enjoy dynamic work environments that require a combination of physical activity, teamwork, and guest interaction. Scheduled for up to 29 hours per week, this position pays $15.00 per hour, appealing to those seeking flexible work during the summer season.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide a wide variety of support functions for hosting events effectively and efficiently. Employees in this position are tasked with food and beverage preparation, set-up of event spaces, on-site assistance throughout the duration of events, and thorough cleanup afterward. Duties also include maintaining all equipment and facilities in an organized, clean, and safe condition. Employees foster positive working relationships not only with their team members but also with outside agencies and vendors, reflecting the organization’s value of collaboration and professionalism. This role does not involve supervisory responsibilities but requires adherence to The Salvation Army’s policies and procedures and respect for its religious mission.
Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, as work hours may include evenings and weekends to meet the needs of various events.
