The Event Staff position at Mountain Health Arena is a part-time role within the Events Department that plays a crucial role in the seamless execution of scheduled events at both the arena and the connected convention center. Reporting directly to the Event Manager, this role involves a wide range of duties that ensure the smooth operation of events and enhance the overall guest experience. The position requires flexibility as it involves working extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
As an Event Staff member, you will assist in various capacities, including coordinating with the Event Manager to meet specific event needs, serving as a ticket taker or usher, and helping patrons find their seats while providing special accommodations for those with accessibility requirements or special needs. Your responsibilities also extend to supporting last-minute event preparations such as setup, decorating, and locating materials. In some cases, you may assist with concessions or hospitality services to ensure guests have a pleasant experience.
This role demands outstanding customer service skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting, while exercising sound judgment and initiative, is essential. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing situations during events. Educationally, a high school diploma or GED is required, accompanied by one to two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Duties
- Coordinate with Events Manager to ensure the event's special requirements are met
- Serve as ticket taker and/or usher distributing programs and escorting patrons to their appropriate seats
- Assist with last minute pre-event needs such as set-up, decorating, finding materials, etc
- Provide special accommodations for wheelchairs and other physically handicapped patrons, senior citizens, students, and groups
- Assist with concessions or hospitality services as needed
- Work extended or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
