Known for its innovative approach and distinguished medical professionals, Henry Ford Health has established itself as a cornerstone in the healthcare industry. With a strong emphasis on collaboration and continuous improvement, the organization offers a dynamic work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
The Event Specialist role at Henry Ford Health is a pivotal position within the Special Events department, reporting directly to the Manager of Special Events. This position involves full ownership of the development, planning, directing, and execution of a wide range of events. These events include Continuing Medical Education (CME) symposiums, conferences, chair dinners, receptions, and enterprise-wide initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with the Henry Ford Medical Group, the Henry Ford Health Development Office, and other key partners, ensuring that each event not only meets but exceeds expectations.
The Event Specialist plays an essential role in enhancing the brand and reputation of Henry Ford Health by delivering well-organized, impactful events that engage stakeholders and foster strong community connections. The position demands a high level of project management skill, from the creation of detailed project plans and budgets to the coordination of logistics and vendor relationships. This is a multifaceted position that combines creative planning with strategic execution, requiring adaptability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships internally and externally.
This role is ideal for a professional passionate about event management within the healthcare sector, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively across various teams. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading event planning efforts independently while also supporting and collaborating with event team colleagues on multiple projects. The work environment will occasionally involve physical tasks such as packing, lifting, and moving materials, which adds a hands-on element to the role. The position is a day job, offering a stable work schedule within a well-respected organization dedicated to making a meaningful impact on healthcare and community engagement.
