Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management Hospitality Management Communications Business Administration or a related field preferred
- Equivalent professional experience in event planning and management may be considered in lieu of a degree
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience planning and executing large-scale events including conferences conventions symposiums or training events
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with internal teams vendors and stakeholders
- Experience coordinating event logistics vendor management and on-site operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management tools
- Proficiency with digital collaboration tools such as Google Workspace
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends to support event execution
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a proactive approach to planning
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently in a distributed team environment
Job Duties
- Support the planning and execution of events conferences workshops and stakeholder engagements involving industry government and academic partners
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of events including venue selection equipment rentals transportation catering accommodations and audio-visual requirements
- Develop detailed event schedules and timelines outlining responsibilities deadlines and deliverables to ensure successful execution
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure services and manage event logistics and delivery requirements
- Collaborate with communications teams and leadership to promote events and increase participation through appropriate communication channels
- Ensure events adhere to applicable protocols standards and organizational guidelines
- Participate in planning meetings and coordination discussions to support event development and execution
