The Event Specialist role at Creek Technologies is designed for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple complex events from conceptualization to execution. This full-time position involves planning, coordination, and implementation of various high-impact events such as conferences, workshops, stakeholder engagements, and other mission-driven programs. The specialist will be entrusted with managing event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, equipment rentals, catering, transportation, and audiovisual needs, ensuring every event runs flawlessly. Working closely with internal teams, industry partners, and government officials, the Event Specialist acts as a pivotal link in delivering successful in-person and virtual events. This role requires excellent communication skills to promote events effectively and increase participation across multiple channels. The ability to identify risks, develop contingency plans, and maintain adherence to organizational protocols and standards is essential. Additionally, the Event Specialist will conduct post-event evaluations, gather performance data, and make recommendations to optimize future events. The position demands flexibility to work outside normal hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary, to support event execution. Prior experience in managing large-scale events with over 300 attendees is highly desirable, as well as proficiency with digital tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality management, communications, business administration, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent professional experience in event planning and management may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of experience planning and executing large-scale events (300+ attendees)
- Strong organizational and project management skills

- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a proactive approach to planning

Job Duties
- Support the planning and execution of events, conferences, workshops, and stakeholder engagements involving industry, government, and academic partners
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, equipment rentals, transportation, catering, accommodations, and audio-visual requirements
- Develop detailed event schedules and timelines, outlining responsibilities, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure services and manage event logistics and delivery requirements
- Collaborate with communications teams and leadership to promote events and increase participation through appropriate communication channels
- Ensure events adhere to applicable protocols, standards, and organizational guidelines
- Participate in planning meetings and coordination discussions to support event development and execution
- Identify potential risks related to event planning and develop contingency plans and safety measures
- Provide on-site event coordination and logistical support during events
- Conduct post-event evaluations and collect performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Maintain and update event schedules and planning calendars for upcoming events and initiatives
- Support the integration of events with broader organizational initiatives and strategic communications efforts
