This establishment is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable On Call Event Setup Houseperson to join their event services team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Banquets and meetings, pivotal to the hotel's reputation for excellence in hosting various events ranging from intimate gatherings to large conferences. The position involves setting up and breaking down meeting spaces which include arranging tables, chairs, providing water service, and other related tasks necessary to meet client and event specifications. The Houseperson will be expected to operate swiftly and accurately in a fast-paced environment, frequently coordinating with event teams to deliver outstanding service.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in event setup or related field preferred
  • physical ability to lift and move moderate weight
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • availability for flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and various times of day

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • refined verbal communication skills
  • physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate weight
  • ability to tolerate moderate amounts of walking
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • flexible schedule availability including AM and PM shifts, holidays, and weekends
  • previous experience in setup preferred, banquet experience highly regarded

Job Duties
