Job Requirements
- 2-4 years of management experience required
- previous experience in convention services preferably in a convention hotel
- excellent computer skills including Daylight Sales/Catering software system experience
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- ability to resolve problems with internal and external customers
- ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy items
- flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Lead the safety effort by personal example
- support full hotel compliance with safety rules to further goal of zero accidents
- adhere to SOPs and work procedures to assure guest satisfaction
- report all injuries immediately to supervisor or manager
- maximize business to exceed budget expectations
- plan, implement and oversee assigned conventions including conflict resolution
- manage customer relationships from sales turnover through post event
- supervise contracted group room blocks
- enforce program deadline dates
- conduct planning meetings and site inspections per guidelines
- assure client satisfaction through event implementation
- work with Group Sales Manager to detail service confirmed group business
- conduct BEO and Resume meetings weekly
- disseminate BEOs 30 days before events
- coordinate all logistical details for definite groups
- produce required documents like BEOs and Resumes timely
- record communication in Delphi and prepare post-convention reports
- collaborate with departments to ensure service quality
- host definite clients including entertainment and hotel tours
- engage in convention meetings and assess bills
- perform other duties as assigned
