The company fosters a collaborative atmosphere where each team member shares a passion and dedication to delivering outstanding value through thoughtful design and seamless execution. Located in Chicago, IL, Kehoe Designs is known for handling high-profile events and large-scale productions, contributing significantly to the design and event services industry. This establishment is devoted to enhancing internal workflows and operational efficiency while maintaining a focused and service-oriented work environment, driving consistent quality and professionalism across all projects.
The Event Services Manager at Kehoe Designs plays a pivotal leadership role within the company's event coordination and production framework. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the Event Services Manager leads a motivated team of Event Assistants and Coordinators responsible for supporting sales producers and production teams through every stage of event delivery—from initial planning phases to the final live execution. This role is crucial in ensuring robust communication, operational excellence, and seamless coordination between multiple internal departments and client-facing teams. The manager’s responsibilities expand to fostering a collaborative and service-focused team culture, mentoring and developing staff members for professional growth, and actively participating in cross-department collaboration between Sales and Production. The position demands a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing complex event operations efficiently. The role offers a competitive salary package based on experience, providing stability and growth opportunities within a reputable company.
Key aspects of the Event Services Manager role include overseeing scheduling and staffing for on-site event support, creating and approving operational documentation such as event pull sheets, and providing direct on-site support during events when necessary. The role also involves internal process and systems management, including the implementation and ongoing use of event software platforms like Momentus and Ungerboeck and the maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures for team workflows. Furthermore, the Event Services Manager is entrusted with administrative responsibilities such as managing team timekeeping, timecard reviews, payroll coordination, and time-off requests through ADP. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills alongside excellent interpersonal communication and conflict resolution abilities. This is an exciting opportunity for those seeking to lead in a creative and collaborative environment, with the chance to work on some of the region’s most prominent events and productions while supporting a culture of continuous improvement and career development.
