Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in event services or meeting planning
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
  • Ability to move, lift, bend, and carry objects up to 40 pounds
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cohesively with team members across departments

Job Qualifications

  • Previous catering or event services experience preferred
  • Knowledge of hotel banquet operations
  • Ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly in English both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency in computer systems with experience in Opera software a plus
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Customer service orientation with a desire to create memorable guest experiences

Job Duties

  • Serve as liaison between Event Service Managers and operational departments
  • Assist Event Service Managers with onsite meeting coordination
  • Build rapport with meeting planners to identify needs
  • Ensure smooth and seamless meeting planner and guest experience
  • Monitor events for specification adherence and client satisfaction
  • Proactively resolve problems and provide status updates to clients
  • Review event documents in advance and check in with planners before and during functions
