Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • at least 1 year of related experience and/or training in a high-volume restaurant
  • proficiency with Point-of-Sale systems
  • must have a current San Diego County Food Handlers card, issued by the city of San Diego
  • reliable transportation is necessary

Job Duties

  • Execute banquet events according to orders, completing all assigned tasks and duties
  • assign opening and closing duties to servers, ensuring they fulfill their tasks effectively
  • collaborate with kitchen staff for buffet replenishment and timing of plated events
  • maintain and store event equipment and supplies appropriately
  • be responsible for rental equipment at the conclusion of events
  • welcome and greet guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and attended to
  • set up and tear down banquet areas, handling linens, place settings, and buffet items
  • arrange banquet rooms according to function sheets and instructions
  • deliver food and beverages promptly to guests from the kitchen and bar
  • pour and refill wine, coffee, water, and other beverages responsibly
