Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of related experience and/or training in a high-volume restaurant
  • Proficiency with Point-of-Sale systems
  • Must have a current San Diego County Food Handlers card, issued by the city of San Diego
  • Reliable transportation is necessary

Job Duties

  • Execute banquet events according to orders, completing all assigned tasks and duties
  • Assign opening and closing duties to servers, ensuring they fulfill their tasks effectively
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff for buffet replenishment and timing of plated events
  • Maintain and store event equipment and supplies appropriately
  • Be responsible for rental equipment at the conclusion of events
  • Welcome and greet guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and attended to
  • Set up and tear down banquet areas, handling linens, place settings, and buffet items
  • Arrange banquet rooms according to function sheets and instructions
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly to guests from the kitchen and bar
  • Pour and refill wine, coffee, water, and other beverages responsibly
