The company emphasizes innovation, technological expertise, and world-class service, making it a preferred partner for event production and technology needs worldwide.
The Sr. Sales Manager, Venues at Encore is a pivotal leadership role responsible for guiding the sales process within assigned group accounts at venue locations. This position involves directing sales staff to ensure customers receive seamless support throughout their event journeys, from initial inquiry to event execution. The Sr. Sales Manager is tasked with identifying and delivering tailored technology solutions that meet customer goals and maximize revenue opportunities. By cultivating strong relationships with key hotel personnel and internal departments, this role enhances client satisfaction and drives business growth. The Sr. Sales Manager also mentors and supervises Sales Managers, providing training and guidance to elevate the overall sales team's performance.
This position is a full-time role with a salary range typically between $44,342 and $57,644, though compensation varies based on factors such as location, experience, and expertise. Additional earning potential may include bonuses or incentives based on performance. The role reports to the Sales Director or Director of Event Technology, reflecting its strategic importance within the company structure.
Key responsibilities include leading revenue-generating initiatives by employing a proactive, consultative sales approach that leverages Encore's sales methodology and tools. The Sr. Sales Manager develops strategies for upselling and cross-selling to enrich per-event revenues, supports the design of advanced technology event solutions, and prepares compelling presentations to communicate Encore's value proposition. Collaboration with vendors, internal teams, and venue personnel is essential, ensuring coordinated event planning and flawless execution.
Relationship management is a core element of the job, where the Sr. Sales Manager maintains personalized connections with customers, delves into customer history to enhance experiences, leads sales and budgeting meetings with venue partners, and promptly addresses any client concerns. The role demands meticulous CRM management to keep customer data accurate and current. Sales accountability responsibilities include maintaining a robust pipeline to consistently meet revenue targets, updating CRM opportunities, supporting sales forecasts, assisting with quota setting, and adopting standard operating procedures and new business initiatives.
Furthermore, the position focuses on people development through direct leadership, training, and coaching of sales team members. The Sr. Sales Manager fosters a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement, promoting quality and professional growth. Engagement in regional or national committees, as well as facilitating local or regional sales training, underscores the leadership essence of this role.
This role requires strong communication, presentation, and technical skills including proficiency in CRM systems, with preferred knowledge in CAD and Oracle. Previous sales experience in audiovisual, technology, or hospitality industries enhances suitability. The company prioritizes core values such as delivering world-class service, ownership, accountability, collaboration, and ethical conduct. Physically, the job entails moderate demands with periods of sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. The work environment varies from quiet to noisy hotel or convention center settings and includes irregular hours such as evenings, weekends, holidays, and potential on-call status.
Encore's commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and employee well-being is reflected in its competitive benefits packages and welcoming workplace culture. Individuals in this role will contribute significantly to Encore's mission of creating outstanding event experiences through innovative sales leadership and exceptional service delivery.
