Job Description
Lucky Strike Entertainment, formerly known as Bowlero Corp, stands as one of the world’s premier location-based entertainment platforms. Operating over 360 locations across North America, Lucky Strike Entertainment offers a diverse range of experiential entertainment options including bowling, amusements, water parks, and family entertainment centers. The company’s footprint in the entertainment industry is well-established, backed by ownership of the Professional Bowlers Association, which is not only the major league of bowling but also a media property with millions of fans worldwide. This wide presence underscores the company’s commitment to providing engaging and memorable experiences to guests of all ages and interests. The brand emphasizes a polished, professional image and a high standard of service to reflect the elite status it holds within the entertainment market.
This role of Event Sales Specialist on the Core team at Lucky Strike Rocklin is a dynamic position focused on managing the full sales cycle for various group events, ranging from 13 to 100 guests. The primary responsibility involves coordinating corporate outings, social gatherings, and organizational events, ensuring that each group is matched with the right venue, package, and experience to meet their unique needs and budget. This is not just a role for individuals responding to inbound inquiries; candidates must be proactive in building and managing their sales pipeline, cultivating relationships, and maintaining a strong local business outreach within their territory. The position demands executive presence and professionalism, supported by the company’s camera-first policy during all virtual meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
The Event Sales Specialist role requires skilled handling of multiple event types simultaneously, managing high volumes without losing track of details or quality of service. This includes prospecting new accounts, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and consistently meeting quarterly sales quotas that come with tiered performance-based earnings. The policy of lead distribution ensures efficient use of resources, with specific leads delegated according to group size or corporate status, while the specialist retains the responsibility of steering the event experience from contract execution through post-event follow-up. Participation in BEO (Banquet Event Order) meetings and collaboration with venue operations teams are critical for seamless event delivery.
Work hours typically include evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligning with the company’s busy periods and event schedules. The ideal candidate has a background in sales, hospitality, or event planning, preferably with experience in group or event sales. Essential skills include confidence in prospecting, strong communication, the ability to manage complex pipelines, and adaptability to different event conversations, whether for corporate or social settings. Familiarity with tools such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and event management platforms like GEMS is required.
Lucky Strike Entertainment offers competitive hourly pay starting at $31.25, plus 1-3% commission, with performance incentives and a comprehensive benefits package that supports personal well-being both on and off the job. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision plans, retirement plans including 401(k), an employee stock purchase program, employee assistance programs, wellness resources, vacation and holidays, and various perks including discounts on bowling, Boomer’s, water park entries, retail, and events. These offerings demonstrate the company’s commitment to supporting its employees comprehensively while fostering a workplace culture of growth, professionalism, and achievement.
