Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in event sales or related hospitality sales preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications related to sales and event management
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with team members

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge and able to learn new computer and web-based applications
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Previous catering sales experience, with background in selling and executing is preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality and work in a team environment
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Respond to incoming event opportunities including emails, walk-ins and phone calls
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings
  • Execute contracts and BEO's and ensure timeliness of final payments and deposits
  • Serve the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations
  • Work directly with clients gathering necessary information for menu planning, floor plans, room set-up, timeliness, rental orders, décor, cost, and billing details and assist with those items as necessary
  • Interact effectively with all departments within the hotel to ensure guest satisfaction and a positive work environment
  • Be onsite to service all events and in-house groups and be available weekends and holidays
