This position focuses on guiding customers through every stage of their event experience, helping them identify tailored solutions to meet their objectives effectively. Using a consultative sales approach and leveraging all available resources, the Sales Manager ensures maximum capture of event opportunities while maintaining profitable outcomes aligned with the company’s financial guidelines. The role requires collaboration across departments and vendors, onsite presence during key event planning phases, and active participation in customer meetings to fully understand and respond to client needs. The Sales Manager also maintains and nurtures strong relationships with venue personnel and key hotel contacts, which enhances the overall business partnership and drives repeat business. The position supports company initiatives, business strategies, and core values, including delivering world-class service, doing the right thing, and driving results with accountability. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range from $38,558 to $50,126, with final compensation dependent on location, experience, and skills. Additional benefits and potential bonuses or incentives may also be available. Working in a dynamic hotel and convention center environment, the Sales Manager must be adaptable to variable noise levels, outdoor exposure, and irregular working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • BS or BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 or more years of relevant experience
  • technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior audiovisual sales experience is advantageous
  • knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude required
  • strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree or equivalent experience
  • at least 1 year of Encore or equivalent experience
  • technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach
  • prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
  • collaborate with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • attend site visits and planning meetings to support customer event experiences
  • incorporate event cost structures into solution designs following profitability guidelines
  • cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel and Encore teams
  • maintain up-to-date accurate customer information in CRM
  • maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets
  • ensure all opportunities are accurately recorded and updated in CRM
  • support sales forecasting with accurate and timely submissions
  • adopt and learn all standard operating procedures and new initiatives
  • maintain knowledge of new product, service offerings and emerging technology
