The role of Sales Manager, Venues at Encore is a dynamic and pivotal position responsible for driving the success of event technology sales within hotel and convention venue settings. The Sales Manager is tasked with utilizing a consultative sales approach to maximize revenue capture while maintaining strong relationships with both clients and internal venue personnel. The Sales Manager is also responsible for maintaining accurate customer information within the CRM system to support ongoing relationship management and sales forecasting. Working within the hotel and convention center environments, the Sales Manager will engage in site visits, pre-conference meetings, and collaborate closely with venue staff to ensure event objectives are met and exceeded. The position involves understanding event cost structures to design profitable solutions and contributes to the overall success of the company’s sales efforts by maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities. The diverse nature of this role includes handling irregular work hours and potential travel between hotel locations, demanding flexibility and commitment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum one year of sales experience in technology or hospitality sectors
  • proficiency with CRM systems
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • physical ability to meet job demands including sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  • willingness to travel between locations
  • adherence to company appearance and conduct standards

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 1 year of experience in Encore or similar industry
  • prior technology or hospitality sales experience preferred
  • audiovisual sales experience is a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
